Hybrid training: the Florian Lopes method

Hybrid training is not a trend. It is an answer to a simple question: why choose between strength, endurance and explosiveness, when the body is capable of all three?

A method born in the ring

Before becoming a coach, Florian Lopes was a high-level boxer. That experience shaped his view of training: a complete athlete does not settle for lifting heavy or running far. They have to be able to meet any physical demand, at any moment.

Hybrid training combines strength work, cardio, mobility and power within one logic of progression. The goal is not accumulation, but balance: a body that is strong, durable and reactive.

Who is it for?

The method is for anyone who wants to break out of the classic gym routine. Whether the goal is performance, getting back in shape or preparing for a specific event, the approach adapts to each profile and level.

What a typical session looks like

Every session combines several types of effort: a strength block, conditioning work, and a technical phase — often drawn from boxing — to develop coordination and explosiveness. Sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes, always adjusted to the abilities and goals of the person being coached.

A standard, not a recipe

Hybrid training the FLR COACH way follows no fixed programme. Every session is designed to measure, with a constant level of demand. That rigour — paired with genuine listening — is what sets Florian Lopes’ coaching apart.
